How long does my order take?

What is the largest printseize you have available?

The maximum size is 100X200cm. Are you searching for something bigger? Don’t hesitate to contact us.

Can I have a custom framed mirror?

Yes, the mirror as well as the frame could be custom ordered. If you already have a mirror yourself, we can also frame it for you.

When will you come to pick up/deliver the artwork?

After you’ve placed your order, we will contact you within 1 working day to discuss the best time to collect and/or deliver the artwork.

Within how many days will my framing be ready?

Framing a work of art is craftwork we prefer to not rush. When the work of art arrives at our frame maker, it takes an average of 8 days before we finish it. Are you in a rush? Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Can I have a canvas stretched by you?

When placing your order, you’ll find the option to tick ‘stretching’ in the step-by-step plan. Tick it and that way we know that the canvas still has to be stretched.

When do you recommend using glass framing?

If your screen print, photo or drawing very valuable to you we always recommend to place glass in front of the artwork to protect it. Do you want to be extremely well protected? Choose art glass. This is UV-resistant and reflects significantly less than normal glass.

How can I pay?

You can pay via Ideal, via Mollie with your own bank or credit card.

How do I keep the artwork clean?

If you have a glass frame in front of the artwork, clean the glass with a special art glass cloth and assigned glass spray. You can buy these from us. If you don’t have glass in front of the artwork you should dust your work without using spray. You can also clean the frame with a special cloth. Do not use a spray for the frame.

Do you also sell hanging rails and wires?

We certainly do. We also sell professional hanging rails and wires. These are easily assembled and the wires are the same quality as those used in museums.

What is the difference between a wooden and aluminium frame?

A wooden frame is made of wood and an aluminium frame is made of aluminium. It’s obvious that this sounds logical, but sometimes, the difference is unnoticeable. A wooden frame can grow mould and rot when it gets very damp, with an aluminium frame you’ll not have this risk.

How do I measure my artwork?

Take the outer edge of your artwork, drawing or picture and measure your artwork as accurate as possible. Write the number down in centimetres and use these numbers when ordering your artwork. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake: we always double check it.

How will my artwork be packed during transport?

We transport and pack all artwork ourselves and carry this out in the so said ‘museum manner’. This is done with special art canvases and tensioners so that your artwork’s a 100% guaranteed, safely transported.

What is a canvas frame?

A canvas frame is a frame in which to place canvas. It’s also known as floating frame, tray frame, support or stretcher frame. The frame has a shape of a tray. When the artwork is stretched there’ll be a space of 1,5cm between the stretched canvas and the frame. This creates a “floating” effect.

Does the frame include a hanging system?

Yes, everything we frame for you is accommodated with a professional hanging system. Do you want to know how to use the hanging system? Read our blog!

What type of glass should I choose?

Do you have little or no daylight or artificial light? Choose clear glass. Does your space have daylight or artificial light? Go for anti-reflective glass.
Do you have valuable artwork that should absolutely not fade? Choose art glass (museum glass).

How do I keep the glass clean?

For this matter, it’s recommendable to use the The Frame Brother Deluxe Cleaning Set. This contains everything you need to keep the glass clean. Also suitable for art glass.

Do you also have a shop?

No, we do not have a physical shop. We have a workshop in which we carry out all our framing jobs.

Will you collect my wedding dress personally?

Yes, we will personally pick up the wedding dress at your home, at your best convenience.

Do you steam and iron my wedding dress before framing it?

No, we do not dry or iron the dress. If you want to dry-clean the wedding dress first, you will have to take care of this yourself. Unless you want to remember that stain 😉

Will I be able to remove the dress from the frame?

No, once it’s placed, you can no longer remove the dress from the frame. The dress is very well fastened and could tear when you take it out. You shouldn’t need the dress in the future either.

Can I also frame a wedding suit?

Yes, we can also frame a suit. This will exist out of the same process used for the wedding dress framing service.

Am I entitled to a warranty?

Yes, a guarantee applies to everything you order and buy with us. We will not be happy until you are!
